Our Best Friend

We all love our family and friends; however, there is a point where we need some space and time apart from them and need some companionship. This is the realm where our love for our pets shows. It does not matter if you have a dog, a cat, a fish, or any number of other animal companions the joy, they can bring us is unmatched. Without the ability to speak, these animal partners can bring us happiness and can show how much our emotions matter.
Long Day
Sometimes we have long days at work and do not want to talk when we get home. We hope these days are few and far between, but it happens. Work can be difficult and sometimes customers, coworkers, or bosses get under our skin and we simply do not want to talk about it. These days can be salvaged by the love of a pet. Knowing that you can go home to family helps but sometimes you just don’t want to talk to anyone. This is the ideal time to take your dog for a walk, to clean your fish tank, or to groom your feline. Tending to the needs of our pets can be very helpful in relieving stress and can make a huge difference in our moods. Pets often show great affection and sometimes that is what we need to get over a bad work day. Sitting in silence with a companion who will not leave you can turn any bad day around. So next time you have a day that won’t seem to end, spend some quiet time with your pet. It will likely improve your mood.
Ever Loving
It is sometimes hard to notice when your dog or cat makes a mess of the house or accidently harms you, but one thing is a guarantee. If you treat your pet well, they will love you. A dog is called man or woman’s best friend for a reason. Pets are loyal to owners who treat them well and they will always love you. They know they make mistakes but they always give you a look that makes you feel better. We all want to be loved and a pet’s love is special in a way that cannot be matched by humans. The unspoken bond that forms between animals and humans can last years and the pets always remember. We see it all the time in videos of pets who are reunited with long lost owners. The animal remembers and the joy they get from being reunited might even be greater than that of the human. Our dog and cats are faithful sidekicks and they will always love your attention and that alone makes any pet owner feel great.
Welcoming New Family Members
Animals are very shy at first but they warm up to almost anyone. For example, a cat might spend most of its time hiding from a new person but they will eventually start showing themselves. The same holds true for dogs but they show there uncertainty in different ways. They might hide behind their owner or bark aggressively, but they eventually stop. Pets are uncertain around new people but they can acclimate very well to new people. It takes time but a pet is accepting of almost anyone. It does not matter if a brother or sister moves in with you or you have a new child, a pet adapts and learns to love. This fact carries more weight when a family adds a child. A dog or cat will be unsure at first but as the child grows up the pet becomes protective of the child as if it is its own kin. Our first pet in a new home can often become our child’s greatest protector and best friend. Having a pet is like having another parent. They are always diligent and will protect the family. Once again all you have to do to fact check this is look online. There are countless numbers of videos showing a pet’s valor in saving family members. A great pet is more than just an animal, it is a true family member.
Being a Rock
Finally we must remember one of the best attributes of a pet. They are always there for us and can be a rock in our lives. No matter how bad our day is, or how upset someone gets at us, our pets is always there to make us feel better. All they want is to be loved and in turn they love us back. A pet is loyal and can bring a type of joy that is unmatched. However, it is important to remember that being a responsible animal owner is a commitment. Our best friend might be speechless and might support us through anything but we must ensure they are well taken care of. They must be fed, walked, and bathed when needed. We must be a rock of support for them as much as they are for us. So make sure you understand the commitment you make when getting a pet. Finally look to adopt from a shelter if you are able too. Rescuing a pet from a shelter is saving a life.
