One of the hardest things to do in an appropriate way is to be opinionated at work.  Unfortunately, it is easy to offend someone and often times we say something without realizing how it will be perceived by others.  So how do we express views and positions we care about without getting in HR trouble?  Additionally, how do we have conversations with people who see things differently than we do?  There is no simple answer, but we can talk about some approaches to help stay out of trouble.

Remodeling and furnishing an office is expensive.  There is no way around it.  Many ways exist to cut costs but at the end of the day, to complete the job you could end up spending thousands of dollars.  For some people and some businesses it is a great way to spend some extra cash at the end of a fiscal period, but for others a new office is an expense that is not feasible.  However, that does not mean that you are stuck with a completely outdated office.
